A fair settlement is......
what would you pay for what you lost if you found it for sale right
now? it isn't how much you got in it that counts; its what its worth
are you getting what its worth? if you found the exact same unit for sale in 
the same condition what would be a fair price. buy a new shirt
wear it once put it in a yard sale and see what you get.
I could drop $100,000 in my house and it would look great but would it raise 
my resale value that much? not in a heart beat. the hard reality of making 
something just the way you like it then to loose it.....
the best is to research all the same kinds of Airstreams with the same 
features.   you should be able to come up with the same $$$$
