Charlotte, I think this unit comes with the 6.0 engine as the only choice?  
That should be plenty of engine.  What rear end ratio does it have?  I would 
rather have the 3.73 instead of the 3.43 (may not be exact numbers).  Fuel 
mileage most likely will be in the mid-teens unloaded and on the road.

The weakest link will be the transmission.  It will do the job, but you will 
have to make sure it stays cool.  Does the SUV have a transmission cooler?  
May want to add an auxillary, even if it has a factory cooler.  Would also 
consider adding a trans. temp gauge.  Also may want to consider using 
synthetic transmission fluid.  It is my understanding that it doesn't break 
down under higher operating temperatures.  

Also, don't exceet the weight ratings on the truck!

That is my 2 cents worth of information.
