Thanks for the offer of assistance.

Where did you obtain your service manual?  The only source I am familiar
with, "Tech Authority" which seems to be an affiliate of Daimler-Chrysler,
did not offer the 2001 manual until just recently.  I used to go to that
site and click on the listing for 2001 manuals once every several weeks when
I remembered.  Many other models were offered, but the Ram truck manuals
were not listed.  I checked again about one month ago and it was offered but
I never got around to ordering it.

In any case, I ordered the two volume set this morning.  I was reminded by
your post.
