Re: [A/S] tires on tow vehicle question

I talked to our A/S dealer and he noted that he has
seen problem with some brands of tires where the side
walls tend to have a little too much flex.  The flex
supposedly doesn't provide as much stability as some
would like in a towing situation.  He noted that my
Michelin brand hasn't exhibited that tendency, and in
a test tow noted that my tires were fine.  

Personally I have never experienced that phenomena so
I wouldn't know how to explain how it feels.  My tow
vehicles have been usually equipped with Uniroyal
Tiger Paw's or Michelin's.  Since radial tires first
started appearing on vehicles, I have always replaced
worn tires with the same brand and tread pattern.
