A very informative post.  AAWG sounds like an outstanding organization.  I
have no doubt that many RVs are overloaded, some probably as delivered
empty.  I read letters to the editor and to the complaint resolution column
from time to time in Trailer Life magazine concerning tire and suspension
failures.

One of my concerns is seeing heavy 5th wheel trailers towed by grossly
overloaded and overworked 1/2 ton pickups.  Most lack even proper mirrors so
the driver can see behind him.  Apparently law enforcement ignores these
unsafe vehicles.  I don't pay much attention to motorhomes.
