I have been away and just picked up on this thread. I have a
different aspect of the question. I too, have drooled over the more
spacious interior of the widebody and from that regard there would
be no question in my mind. 

However, every time I pull into the toll gates on the toll roads or
other equally tight spots and creep through with scant inches to
spare on each side, I wonder how white my knuckles would be if it
was a widebody.

Anyone care to try to set my mind at ease over that aspect of the
question?
