Roger,

The original retractable step was a vacuum power unit from A&E. The step is no 
longer made. The predominate retractable steps in the industry are made by Kwikee 
Step. Get the measurements for the width, depth and approximate drop and contact a 
local RV accessory outlet. They should be able to match up the size to a currently 
available step model. Be forewarned, they ain't cheap, $400 or so for a double step 
unit.
