Jim, The Honda 1000i has limitations. I bought one last spring. It is very 
quiet, runs a long time on a small amount of fuel. However it has a peak 
output rating of 1000 watts. If we plugged in the trailer to feed the 
converter for lights, water pump, etc., you will need to perk your coffee on 
open flame. Or plug in the coffee maker by itself. The air conditioner is 
definitely out, as it would be using stored energy. For us it does what we 
wanted it to do, run the water pump, and give us light during peak usage and 
freshen up the battery. We only run it for a short time, even though it is 
quiet it does detract from the reason we chose a location "away from it all." 
For a 4 day 3 night weekend 4-5 people at least 6 showers a day the unit will 
run on one tank of fuel to spare. We bought ours from a mail order outfit 
from NJ called Mayberrys, current price $649.
