  My panels are rated at 75 watts/each. They arrive at that figure by 
multiplying open-circuit voltage by short-circuit current (18X4=72). 
It's somewhat erronious, as the working voltage is more like 14.5, which 
gives you only 58 watts.

As I said, my panels will do 4 amps each if pointed directly at the 
bright sun, but the total "as installed" is about 6 amps. No matter, 
they do a heckuva job, freeing us from any concerns about power.

We have a 300-watt portable inverter that plugs into a specially-wired 
lighter plug (#10 wire, 30 amp fuse). Its use is to run the laptop 
computer, digital camera when dumping pictures, and sometimes charging 
the cell phone. It's a Tripplite, bought from Amateur Electronic Supply 
for about $79.00.
