Don, Avion was using a bonded aluminum in the late 70s or early 80s and a
proud owner showed me when we were camped side by side in New Orleans one
time. He demonstrated his Avion's superior engineering compared to my
Airstream by pressing his thumb against the outside skin on my ' 73
Airstream Sovereign and pointing out that the aluminum skin could be pushed
in a little. Then he invited me to try the same thing on his Avion which I
did. It didn't move in and felt more substantial. I don't know what that
proved but he felt it was significant.
