[A/S] Generator grounding/30 amp gfci

Hi All,

When using a generator, it seems to me that one
should use a ground of some type. My gen has
a ground lug, but no advice on whether or not to
use it. It says "refer to local codes." The neutral
and ground at the gen are NOT bonded.

Also, where is the best place to get an "inexpensive"
30 amp gfci, either in-line or box type. I know my
A/S will have a Square-D sub pamel, and that I can
probably get individual gfci breakers, but these are
really expensive!
