On a cool day vapor venting can be a slow process. Left open with the tank in the 
upright position the valve can/will freeze up. Done carefully, opening the valve and 
inverting the tank is feasible. Of course the guy downwind off you might object to the 
smell and if the LP doesn't dissipate quickly you may have an explosive meeting with 
some of your downwind neighbors.
