Jim. The reason Airstream no longer used the disc
brakes, was solely because of cost. The system was
always an option.
Ausco's selling price of the "braker", is $840.00. Not
bad really when it replaces the complete booster
assembly and a vacuum source is no longer required.
The hardest part after the braker is installed, is
bleeding the brakes. That takes two people.
The end results are fantastic, and the long term
repair cost are greatly reduced. 
Most of the repair parts as well as new pads are
available, and at reasonable costs.
