Re: [A/S] ?Astrovan and airstream

I found a weight slip in my 72 22' safari when i purchased it.
empty it was 3320# and i would assume it was still attached/hitched.
take the conserative approach and don't scrimp on saftey with your family.
look for the weak points in your tow veh and make sure they are beefed up.
with this in mind you could have safe and comfortable trips. the plate
rivited to the side of my rig states the gross weight is
5580 #. During the Beatrice years you'll fing the rigs were a little lighter
as a result of the energy concerns; there are more plastics and man made
materials. Take a tent along consider it a 2nd room, look at it like you
would a 2nd bedroom, or a toy room. If not you'll need a 50ft
rig with kids. you're at the begining of a great adventure and you found
a great source for info... i could be happy with sob(some other brand)
but i couldn't get all this quality, friendship, information, etc.
elswhere. We started in tents and had fun, we moved up to pop-ups
and had fun, now we have the Safari and are having fun.
