Check out the Bambi and the Safari. This would be the lightest new
Airstreams. Keep in mind that you should be looking at the GVWR. Also, the
older Airstreams were lighter than some of the newer Airstreams. If you like
the looks of a Bambi, see if you can find a dealer that will rent you one.
It will also make a difference where you would be pulling the trailer with
your van. You may be OK in the flat lands, but not adequate in the hills or
mountains. Also, you said your van was a conversion van. The added weight
of the conversion may have your vehicle loaded close to its GVRW, if so, I
would think you may not have 4500 pounds of trailer towing capacity remaining.
