[A/S] Help with wood flooring THANK YOU

All these great replies! Thank you all. 

I talked with a guy today, in a A/S service dept. He has installed Pergo 
floors. He wasn't crazy about them. And he said they damage easy. He 
preferred a wood strip flooring, 3/8" thick and 3 1/2" wide that can be cut 
to fit the room and glued down. 

Everybody here is so helpful. My wife and I are just getting into this.
