 They use Suicide Doors so as to allow a window in front of the doorway
and have no interference.

A fella at a Vintage Rally that I attended made up some cute little
wooden dealys (technical term) that were basically a piece of pine about
3/4" square, with a notch carved in them and a short piece of bungee
cord attached. You dropped it into the entry assist handle adjacent to
the door with the notch facing toward you, engaging the handle, and
slipped the elastic cord around the door knob. The wood was long enough
to catch the edge of the door and hold it closed. Cheap, dirty, and
effective. He gave me one.
