 Do NOT EVER mix battery types! Gel and flooded batteries operate at
slightly different voltages and you'll ruin one or the other in short
order. Stick to either gels, AGM, or flooded, but never mix 'em up. In
fact, it's highly recommended that you always buy batteries in a set so
they're the same age.

One of the best things you can do is get an InteliPower (with Charge
Wizard) or equivilant smart charger so that your batteries are charged
the way they're supposed to be. Many RV batteries aren't really fully
charged by the converter, so won't deliver their full-rated output in
Amp-Hours.
