Many yearsago when I worked in a furniture store up north we sold sleeper 
sofas
many times we had to deliver r\them To upstairs apartmenta in buildings that 
were never ment to have furniture of that size in the upstairs Vert nerrow 
ond sometimes twisted stairways. 
Most sleeper sofas can be dismalted and moved in peasemeal.  It was a rather 
simple job look closely and check. If I had room in the front of my tradewind 
to extend it that ishe way I would Go.
