You should look at the Enkay removable flaps at "mudflaps.com". I used a
set on my recent trip to Alaska, and thought they did a very good job of
keeping the front of my 34' Limited free of dings. I ended up with 5 or
6 very small dings above the stainless guards on the front of the
trailer.
Please note they will not work as delivered on a Hensley Hitch. I had to
have the center of the mounting bracket machined out to fit over the
receiver on the truck, and mounted the mud flaps so they stayed on the
truck when the draw bar was removed. There was not enough room for the
mud flap bracket to mount on the draw bar between the start of the drop
offset and the truck receiver. You need a full 1 1/4" of free space on
your draw bar to mount the mud flap bracket. You will see on the web
page that the flaps are adjustable in all directions to fit your rig.
This is very true, and the setup is super strong and good looking. The
parts fit together really well, and do the job. They are quiet heavy at
about 40 lbs, add this to your Hensley draw bar and you will check out
your back at each hitch up. I also thought the combination of the mud
flap assembly and the draw bar was very difficult to store when removed.
All of the above led me to make the modifications necessary to mount the
mud flap assembly to the truck for the complete trip, then remove it by
its self when I got home. I had to install a bent piece of threaded rod
formed like a hook that attached to the truck receiver and hooked over
the top edge of the mud flap bracket to feel safe the bracket would not
fall off when the draw bar was removed. I am still working on a good way
to replace the hook with something that works, looks good, and is easy
to install and remove.
Long story point: The mud flap system is great, but not made to work
with the Hensley Arrow as they come out of the box. They are the best
looking removable mud flaps I have seen, and the adjustability should
make them work no mater how many times you trade tow vehicles. If anyone
should happen to have a good fix for the Hensley match up let me know,
and I will do the same if I come up with one myself.
