[A/S] Axle

I have gone through three tires on curb side only on single axle 1961 
Bambi.  The outside edge of tire wears.  I originally had 14" wheels 
and recently went back to 13" wheels.  The problem remains.  I know 
it is not the wheels or inflation of the tire.  I have received some 
great advice from VAC members; however, I wanted to tap all sources 
and/or suggestions before taking to Southwest Wheel for repair.  

My best guess is a bent axle.  Does anyone out there have any 
experience with this problem and a few "words of wisdom" for me?

This is my first posting to the Airstream List.  Is the "chat" 
activated?  If yes, I haven't been able to enter.  I'm not very 
computer literate.
