[A/S] New Bath Floor

We have a 1965 Overlander with the rear bath.  I have replaced the floor with 
shhet vinyl.  I am sure someone has done this.  My question is how do you 
seal the bottom of the tub where it meets the floor?  Mine has an aluminum 
strip with rivits in it around the bottom.  Does one use cove or just caulk 
to keep water from running under the tub section?  Any ideas or suggestions 
would be helpful.
