Re: [A/S] Hensley Arrow Hitch
Hi New Hensley Owner,
I had the same problem with my hitch when I installed it. I used the
trailer jack to raise the trailer while hooked to the truck to see how
much I needed to come up to get level. I ended up trading a 6" drop for
a 4" inch drop bar, and my rig is now level to within 1/4" on both the
truck and trailer when the load leveler bars are properly tensioned.
A small trick I have learned with my hitch is to raise truck with the
trailer jack the same amount it goes down when the trailer weight is
added to the receiver, when I get ready to unhook. I measured the truck
before the trailer was attached, then added the trailer and measured
again. I found it makes the unloading of the leveling bars, and the
hitch slides apart very easily at this height. I then forget to level
the trailer front to back before putting down the stabilizer jacks most
of the time, but that is my problem to overcome.
