Hunter,

I just re-uped on a new Verizon plan a couple of weeks ago and 
specifically asked about changing to the national access plan when I 
go on the road. They said that was cool and the weekend minutes would 
apply to the national calling 'from' area. At least that was my 
understanding. Of course, my understanding (as well as verbal 
communication from sales people) can get really convoluted at times,
so when I go the the Home Depot a little later today I will stop at 
the Verizon office next door and clarify this issue.
