I use Sprint.  Get 200 anytime minutes plus 1000 night and weekend minutes 
for about $39 / month plus tax and fees.  It allows me to call from anywhere 
on the Sprint network to anyplace in the US for no extra charge.  They have 
service near most all the Interstates plus a lot of extra areas.  I have had 
it about six months and think it is hard to beat for calling from most 
everywhere out travels take us.

When you are out of the Sprint area, the phone will take a message and give 
it to you when you get back in a Sprint area.
