Rv thermostats, by design, have a 4 to 6 degree spead,
to make them less sensitive to vibrations, such as
walking on the floor, when parked. Therefore if reset
to be within a degree or two, even something as
closing the door can and will trip the thermostat.
Towing in freezing weather is another consideration. A
thermostat that is too sensitive will turn on or off,
from the vibration from normal bumps. To have an RV
thermostat work as well as a household unit, has
several drawbacks. Such is life, owning an RV.    Max
