[A/S] Thin Blue Line

I have a  21' 1974 Airstream GlobeTrotter, and the thin plastic blue 
trim that runs around the exterior of the trailer needs to be replaced 
(probably UV damage has caused the old stuff to crack and part of it 
has fallen out). Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get all 
of the old stuff out and how to get the new stuff into the track as 
easily as possible?
