Re: [A/S] Underside of Argosy

Hi Jim,

I don't know how long my Safari sat at Traverler's Rest, but it was at least
two years. The vermin entered through the rotted out floor around the
holding tank. I had crap on the walls from lizards (lots of eggs between
the walls, lots of horrendous looking spiders, and lots of other creatures.
The crap on the walls, counters, etc. stained the plastic. The crap looked
black, but when cleaned off had colored the plastic with non-removable
red/pink stains. Lots of scrubbing with a wire brush and cleaner just to
get is somewhat presentable.

Also, some of the critters drilled into the foam insulation in the holding
tank and the bunder belly.

I think it's a serious situation! I'd seal the Airstream up and take
preventative measures. Haven't got to the roof caps and the AC yet, but I'm
braced for the worst! Fortuantley, the freezing temperatures in Southern VA
killed a lot of the long legged spiders - shudder, I hate spiders and
snakes!

If it were my decision, I'd get the belly pan reinstalled ASAP and treat the
existing stuff to kill what ever remains inside.

                                               Regards, '69 Safari, Joy
