   Well, gang, we finally picked up a cell phone after holding out for 
almost two years on the road.   And after owning the phone for two weeks 
we now have access to good ol' WWW.   This is what we bought:
Verizon Audiovox 9100  Tri-Mode  $80 (started out with Nokia 5185i but 
when we found we could do I-Net by simply buying the data cable and a 
I-Net capable phone we turned the Nokia back in within 30 days and just 
paid the price difference). 
Data Cable Kit- connectivity kit that includes CD software        $70
1 year contract "National Plan" $35 (we want to be able to call from and 
to  anywhere in U.S without worrying about roaming charges)
We get 150 anytime minutes which we save for Mon-Fri business calls. 
3000 weekend minutes-our family has been instructed to call us ONLY on 
weekends ^grin^.  And this is when we do our surfing, too.  We have our 
old  university internet service provider.  I understand 'HotBot' is 
free if anyone needs an ISP. 

    Ohhh, that's the one thing we have missed having at our fingertips 
(used the libraries).  So what a wonder for us to be sitting out in our 
silver home, no hookups, boondocking with our solar panels, our new cell 
phone, laptop, and off we went to the Internet  and searched out a dump 
station needed for the next day.
