Hey Jim,
Not only your thoughts, but the thoughts of the vintage club, too.  The 
"Friends of the VAC" membership is open to anyone with an interest in 
vintage trailers & Airstreams.  You get the VAC Vintage Advantage 
newsletter, access to the Archive section of the Vintage Airstream Club 
website and get to attend the VAC sponsored rallys.  Many 
non-Airstreamers are members, and Avions, Curtiss-Wrights and vintage 
wood framed trailers are frequent attendees at rallys as evident by the 
rally section of the VAC website. What you don't get is voting rights, 
can't hold an elected or appointed position & can't attend the 
International or regional WBCCI rallys (in a non-guest status).
