Don, I installed a sililar brand in an older Atwood, which required
enlarging and threading the drain outlet.  My machinist friend did that for
$10 and you just screw it in the drain outlet, with teflon tape.  The
thermostat, for my unit is attached to the overflow pressure relief valve,
by a spring.  The directions stated that greater heating efficiency  is
obtained by inserting an aluminum plate between the thermostat and the
pressure relief valve.  I used a scrap of 1/4 inch alum plate for that.  The
spring supplied appears to be quite adequate, although I think I will add a
second one, to be sure it stays snug.   As for the electrical hookup, any
110V source is OK.  Last summer, I used an extension cord to ours from the
RV park electrical hook up post.  I do plan to install a switch, with a
built in light in the bath.  It works great, we used no propane to heat
water for the 2 week trip.   Ned in Mid-MO
