Jim,
As your InteliPower is connected to a good battery, I doubt very much
that it is the source of the AC hum. An easy check would be to
disconnect the power from the InteliPower (unplug it) to see what
happens.
I'd personally bet on a less-than-optimum antenna for AM use, what do
you have installed?
