Patti,
 Its nice to know I'm not the only crazy one out there.  If my Dad were still 
living and I had told him about how I had bought the Caravel, without 
checking everything out first, he would have said "Have you forgotten 
everything I taught you about buying 2nd hand things?".  Sometimes in this 
life you have to take a chance and hope it all works out well.  As long as 
you don't bet the "farm" in taking that chance!  For me it had taken years 
just to find a small AS in decent shape that wasn't a 2 day drive for me.  
They are hard to find.  All of us crazy airstreamers should start our own 
club, how 'bout "Airstream Crazy" or "I bought Airstream sight unseen"?  
Maybe, there is an intraclub like this already!
