[A/S] help on fixing broken back window on 67 airstream

Hi,

A couple of weeks ago I asked for help on the proper glass for my 
recently broken back window. 

Well, after getting some great advice, I got the glass but when I 
tried to put it in today I was totally confused.

All the glass at the top of the window is broken and very sharp. Not 
safety glass.

I opened the latch from the bathroom but have no idea how to get the 
latch off of the Airstream or how to get the broken glass out of the 
window latch. 

I thought I could just slide the old latch out and take it home to 
try and dig the old glass out but no way. It looks like you can take 
it out but I don't have any clue how to do it.

Has anyone else here ever had their back window broken? If so, what 
did you do? Did you fix it yourselves or take it in to be fixed by a 
shop?

This is turning out to be much worse than I ever thought it would be.
