[A/S] fridge frost even when off?

Hello all--

I have a refrigerator question.  I just hooked up my Safari for the 
first time and took it over to the State Park for a dry run.  When I 
got to the park, I went to turn on the fridge.  there was 1/2 inch of 
frost in it!

The trailer has been sitting about a month in my driveway, fridge 
turned off, and plugged into shore power to keep the battery topped 
off.  It never seemed cold or like it was running all month.

The switch really was in the "off" position, and tonight I turned it 
to "electric."  Any ideas what's going on?  I'll check back tomorrow 
but tonight I'm off to sleep at the state park with my doggie!
