A generator can run an A/C for as long as you put fuel in it, barring
any failures.

Evaporative coolers work well if you're in an area of low humidity, they
don't work worth a darn in other areas.

I doubt you can get enough solar panels on the top of an A/S to run a
decent-sized evaporative cooler for any length of time. They typically
have a blower motor that draws significant current, especially from a
battery bank.
