[A/S] Avion
I thank you all.
The Avion I've been eyeing sounds even better now.
I will try to send a link to some photos of it. It is
a 1961 T-20. Seems to be mostly original. All
appliances are original and all work, except the
fridge seems to be temperamental. No leaks, but the
floor is a tad soft right in front of the door...I
would plan to replace this area myself. Basically,
everything works, the tires are new, the brake
components are all new, and the wheels are new. The
only other problems: 12 volt system han't been used
for a long time. There's a place for a battery, but
I'm on my own to discover how well this works.
Fortunately, I'm very good with 12 volt electrics and
electronics. Secondly, there are dimples on the
curbside. The current own doesn't know what they're
from. Looks like a day or two at the 150 yard line of
a driving range. None pierce the skin, but there are
many of them.
I know these'll detract from the value, but I can buy
this trailer at what I think is a fair price, and
definitely one that I can afford. Is it possible to
remove or repair dents like these without replacing
the whole skin? Anyone ever try paintless
dent-removal services on an Airstream?
Any other input would be appreciated.
Thanks very much.
