[A/S] Propane detector

Hi all!
We normally end our trailer travels at the end of
October and we winterize and put things away till
April.  On my past trailers I normally left the
battery on my trailer and pulled it off in March to
place it on the home battery charger. (Unfortunately
subdivision restrictions do not allow RV parking). 
Until I bought the A/S, no other trailer had a master
disconnect switch.  My plan was to throw the
disconnect switch.

The propane gas detector that is mounted near the
floor in my new Safari is always on so obviously the
disconnect switch is a timely feature.  But when you
read the documentation for the detector, there is a
line which states that the sensors that detect propane
will deterioriate if power is removed for long
periods.  The documention further states that when
power is restored the alarm may sound (and will
continue to sound) until the sensors burn away the
contamination that occurs due to the power being
removed.

Has anyone dealt with this issue on their newer A/S? 
I can just see turning on power in the spring and
listening to a propane detector wailing for an hour
while it decontaminates itself....ugh
