Blair,
       After I stripped my clear coat, I had the white blotches.  On the 
lower corner, behind the awning support, I tried some Dupont Polishing 
compound. It removes the white, but put very little pressure when I used it. 
It is in a green can and is white in color.  It did not leave any scratches, 
and brought out a mirror shine, even without the Rolite.  You might want to 
try it, but again try it in a place you won't see first, and use very little 
pressure.  Let me know how it works for you.
