[A/S] Yikes! Wiring, rewiring, grounding...Please advise
Hello Airstreamers,
I need your advise!
Several months ago, my husband Buddy, brought home a 1959 Tradwind.
Everything is original, except... no sofa.
I noticed the electrical outlets were not grounded (of course), and
immediately got the heebie-jeebies.
Unsure if we could take on such a feat....(I don't mean the sofa!)
My question is: Rewire? How should we go about it? Must the
interior skin be removed? I have search the archives becoming more
paranoid and concerned about aluminum wiring and mice! If there is
info posted at someone's website that might be informative, please
send me there! I would certainly appreciate all the help I can get.
We are in no hurry, should we decide to tackle the job. The trailer
is in very good condition cosmetically. While rummaging through the
closet, where the "Lifetime Warrantly" is still posted, I found
several old Caravan Rally badges and a letter from Paul Harshman,
inviting the previous owners to the very first meeting of the Ohio
Unit of Wally Byams Caravan Club, to be held at Rolling Stone Farm in
Kenton, Ohio, October 2,3 & 4, no year mentioned. Also, are all the
original appliance manuals. (Kinda interesting)
This is the first many questions! Waiting and holding my breathe!
