 I agree with your comments to Doug. Around here, we call that sort of
stone "berm mix", it's basically 3/4" and down; as you say, it packs
very nicely. Doug could put down a layer of plastic sheeting before the
stone to keep down the weeds under/around the parked trailer.

A nice addition to a parking spot is electricity close-by. Although we
have the solar panels that keep the batteries charged, I often want
power for a drill, vacuum cleaner, etc. Water is nice to have close
also, so you can fill the tank before setting off for a dry camping
weekend.
