I tried the suggestions I recieved so far.  The ammonia,Acetone thinner, the 
toothpaste test.  Nothing seems to break through the surface of the finish 
thats on there.  Could I have some more suggestions?  I know it polishes up, 
because I have a great shine on the utility cover in the rear.  Is it just 
strip-ese and elbow grease?  Is there on earier way?  Need help.
