[A/S] bad manual trannys and looking for 51 flying cloud
My 4 speed has just about lost all synchronization in 2nd gear, and I
know it wasn't a product of bean counters because is the original from
1949. So those older trannys DO go bad after a while:-)
I guess I'll have to replace it if I EVER find an early '50s Flying
Cloud to pull with it. Of course I'm a little picky. I would rather pay
more than go through a floor replacement, and I don't have room to do a
floor replacement anyway. I have this BIG flipping Firetruck right in
the middle of everything! (Never, Never bid on things when you've been
drinking, Sheesh).
Anyway I'm Looking for an early 50's Flying Cloud. I would prefer a '51
with a flat front and rounded rear, but I'm getting less picky as time
goes on. Interior unimportant but would like a solid floor. Would prefer
it to be in the eastern United States as my only long distance tow
vehicles are a too light Jeep Cherokee or the previously mentioned Gas
loving firetruck at 8 mpg.
