Don,
So far they have elminated air intrusion, incorrect
unit sizing, freon pressures are ok, temperature drop
across the coils are in spec, amp draw is in spec, and
air flow is proper.  I was in Sam Smith's '99 27'
Safari up at JC and noticed that his unit was
operating very similar to mine.  His output was 61
degrees and the air flow was identical.  

I asked the mechanic who worked on my unit what he
felt was the next step to take, and his suggestion
from a diagnostic point was the side by side run in
hot weather.  Quite honestly, other than replacing the
unit, I think that is the only measurement that we
haven't done at this point.  Until we get into
conditions where I can reproduce my disatisfaction, I
have to consider that no one has been able to find
fault with A/C unit to this point.

It's still early in the game and I have 18 months of
warranty left. My better late summer performance
though makes me wonder if something has changed in the
last few weeks during the dealer and factory service
visits.  You can be sure that I won't let the warranty
expire without making sure that I'm satisfied with the
cooling performance.
