Hi Roger
We have a 74 International and had dirt and "rust" stains on the 
curtains when we first got it. Mrs Sarge simply unhooked them, let them 
soak in detergent (without bleach) for an hour and then rinsed
them. She did not agitate them in the washer. She let them hang to dry. 
Aside from a few of the brittle hangers breaking, which we replaced 
through the dealer (CanAm), there was no problem. They look
great and the "rust " stains are gone.
