Please don't de-claw your cats. There is a GREAT non-surgical alternative to
de-clawing - called 'SoftPaws'... watch your vet do it once, and you can
repeat, as necessary. Trim the kitty's claws (forepaws only, usually),
taking care not to nick the artery, and slip the soft rubber tips over the
claw.. a tiny drop of superglue in the tip will make it permanent (until the
claw grows out). The interesting thing is that after a few weeks or months
of this, my cats usually lose interest in scratching/clawing things.
