When Airstream redesigned the body profile in 1994 it flattened out the 
roof panel. At that point it was possible to use a prefinished roof 
sheet without it being obvious from the ground. The
prefinished painted metal covers the area between the awning rails from 
the front end to the rear end cap. The pre 94 coaches have a rounder 
roof profile and the space between the awning rails is
quite a bit easier to see.
