Hunter,
My Safari came with a black window guard on it.  The
sun filters through it and through the window and then
hits the curtains.  Our trailer is a little over 3
months old since manufacture and we do not see signs
of this staining at this point.  

I wonder if it might have something to do with the
combination of the guard and the material in the
fabric make up of the curtains.  Normally I would
guess that the only thing a shade could do at best is
filter out or reduce certain spectrums of sunlight
that are present.  The only thought I have is some
type of magnification going on which actually is
causing some advanced deterioration or chemical
changes in the fabric. Possibly heat related???
