Not to bother changing anything to pick up 1/4" !!!!Throw an extra 
tool box in the back and BINGO! I would say hitch being on the high 
side to tow a big trailer like a 31'is fine.I believe ball angle is 
usually  set to adjust for height of end of your weight dist. bar.
(both one piece).They  should not be too low(dragging) or too high ,I 
think so you can have 5 chain links.I AM NOT an EXPERT!
