The basic body shell is the same for the Classic and the Safari. 
Principle differences that might contribute to the problem would be the 
window structure in the Safari is less substantial and will
conduct heat slightly faster. Another are the vent lids. The Safari lids 
are single layer plastic while the classic is double pane (small air 
gap).
Since it's introduction we have sold a number of the Safari's. To date 
we have not had a customer with this particular problem.
